This beach is stunning and dog friendly and you can run/walk at your own pace for as long as you want.
We will recuperate at The Gribble Inn which is on the way home and a great traditional pub.

BOF Adventures Dorset 2022
Saturday 16th July - Sunday 17th July
The next BOF Adventure will be in Dorset at Corfe Castle to do a Mud Trail and an inflatable Water Park on Saturday starting at 13:00 https://www.dorsetadventurepark.com/
and a stunning hike or run to Old Harry Rocks on Sunday at 10:00.

There are 2 distances:
The plan is to stay in Bournemouth on Saturday evening and meet for dinner and drinks.
The venues are not far away from Bournemouth and there are lots of hotels
to choose from. You could also use campsites in Dorset, there are lots of them too. Most people have booked into Premier Inn Westbourne
so far.
Let us know if you need a lift share and we can help arrange that for you.
The trip is open to all family and friends and you do not have to be a current BOF member to take part.
The cost for the weekend is £60.

BOF Walking Club - Falmer to Lewes

Our first walk is from Falmer to Lewes via Stanmer park and Ditchling via the South Downs Way, approx 16.5 km.
Park at the University or train station, (train back from Lewes).

Snowdon & Zip world Adventure

The plan is to make your way to Llanberis for Saturday 23rd April (you may want to travel up on Friday and make the most of the weekend). It’s about a 5 hour journey and we can organise car shares. If you get there early you can enjoy the town, castles and lakes in this stunning part of Wales and book into your chosen accommodation - there are lots of hotels, B&Bs and hostels to suit all budgets in and around Llanberis.
We will book Zip World for 17:20 on Saturday 23rd April, it is only 20mins away from Llanberis. On Sunday we will meet at
Pen-y-Pass at 10:00 which is a 10 mins drive from Llanberis, and use the Pyg Track to climb Mount Snowdon. https://www.snowdonia.gov.wales/visiting/walking/mountain-walks/pyg-track
This is a spectacular Route that will take about 6 hours (there & back).
This will be a truly memorable trip!

BOF Remembrance Ceremony

Meet at the Chattri Memorial on the South Downs for 10:45
The BOF team are from a very proud military background and it has become a bit of a tradition to hold our own Remembrance ceremony at The Chattri on the South Downs, a pretty special place to local people and military people. We will lead a prayer and have a bugler to play the Last Post so we would be really pleased to see you and your family and friends there with us.
Park at the Braypool Roundabout then it is a 1 mile walk to the Chattri.

Seven Sisters Run Special

Meet at the Seven Sisters car park BN25 4AD at Cuckmere Haven.
This brilliant run starts with a flat 1 km warm up alongside the Cuckmere River. You then head up and over as many of the rolling hills, known as the Seven Sisters as you can. The full route is 11 km but you can
run, jog or walk as much of it as you like as it is an out and back route.

You can do 10 holes (2.5km) or 18 holes (5.5km) and choose to do 10 or 15 reps of Squats, Press Ups & half sits.

Refreshments will be provided for afterwards and
the rugby club outdoor cafe will be open too.

BOF Seafront Challenge
Saturday, 3 October 2020 from 07:30 at Hove Lawns.
There are 15 checkpoints to visit along the Brighton & Hove Seafront stretching from The Big Beach cafe at Hove Lagoon to the top of Marine Parade via Dukes Mound covering a total distance of 12km.
At the start of the Challenge you will be given a map with all the checkpoint locations and the specific exercises you will need to perform at each one. Your mission is to get to as many as you can within the allowed time of 90 mins.
You can do as many checkpoints as you want and take part for as long as you want. Come and have some fitness fun to kick start your weekend.

BOF'ing on The Beach
Friday 21st August 2020
With a really low tide at 07:38 we will be hitting the sand for our early morning BOF classes at Hove Lawns. Wear training shoes and clothes you don't mind getting wet. These sessions are great fun and are a real BOF adventure.
Run Specials
Every month we hold a Sunday Run Special which is a free event for all runners and plodders who fancy a run, jog, hike across the Downs. These are open to all abilities and are dog and cake friendly.
The next Run Special: The Seven Sisters
Sunday 16th August 09:00 meet at the Seven Sisters car park BN25 4AD at Cuckmere Haven.

The Devils Circuit

This Challenge will require you to complete a total 666 reps. Consisting of 74 reps of 9 different exercises.
You will complete 5 circuits of all the exercises with the following reps 24 – 20 – 15 – 10 – 5 .
After each circuit you will complete a short 100m recovery run.

The Giant Circuit
Saturday 15th February 07:30 Hove Lawns
This session will be a giant circuit using loads of equipment.
There will be 5 stations set out at every 200m along the seafront consisting of slam balls, dumbbells, battle ropes, barbells and kettlebells.
You will need to head on to the beach to complete each station then head back up to the promenade to move to the next station.
This session will be for everyone with exercise and repetitions prescribed to suit your fitness ability.
BOGA - BOF Yoga
Saturday 8th February 09:15, Hove Lagoon
This Strength Session will be a BOGA session.
BOF's version of yoga.
Using body weight and TRX exercises to improve your strength and flexibility.
This is great for all abilities and there is no running and don't worry if the weather isn't great there is shelter at The Lagoon.

BOF fest 2021
Friday 28th May - Sunday 30th May 2021:
A weekend of camping, dancing and adventure on the stunning South Downs at The Mac's Farm
in Ditchling.
We have 30 plots and you can bring your own tent or use our 5 star bell tents provided by Bumble Bell

The BOF Boxing Day Class and Run Special are for all BOF'ers, friends, family and anyone else who would like to join us.
The run is 10km starting and finishing at Hove Park. The run will be for all abilities with our racing snakes covering some extra hills on the way around.
Bring dogs, cake and drink!
This is free so share and invite anyone and everyone!

Saturday 7th December
The Christmas Party this year will be in 2 parts.
A gig at The Concorde 2 to see The legendary 90's Dance band The Stereo MC's followed by drinks at The Walrus in The Lanes.
The gig finishes at 22:00 so we will be at The Walrus by 22:30.

Saturday 2nd November 07:30, Hove Lawns.
There are 2 options for this sessions and both involve doing The Challenge!
Greens - Run 5km and at every 500m marker complete 15 burpees.
Yellows - Run 3km and at every 500m marker complete 10 burpees.
There will be time at the end to finish the session with some good strong core exercises before heading home or to the pub for The Rugby World Cup Final.

Saturday 21st September 2019 at 07:30, Hove Lagoon.
This is a unique fitness session where you will be in a team of 3 trying to complete as many widths of Hove Lagoon as possible on a stand up paddle board.
The event will be in the form of a relay where one person kneels or stands on the SUP to paddle across the lagoon while the other 2 people in their team complete exercises on the opposite banks.
You do not need to be able to stand up on a SUP so all fitness abilities can have a go and all paddlers will have to use the buoyancy aids provide.
You can make a team of 3 or we can put you in a team on the day.
There are only 30 places available for this session and a small fee of £10 will be needed to book your place and cover the cost of the equipment and lagoon hire. You can do this at any class or via this one off direct debit payment link.
Family and friends are welcome but book early as this will be very popular.
